Bio: Sherry Pineau Brown has been an educator for over 20 years. Having spent nearly two decades as a high school English teacher in both Maine and Colorado, Dr. Brown currently serves as an Academic Dean of Students at a Central Maine high school as well as an Adjunct Lecturer for the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Maine. She earned a Ph.D. in 2020 from the University of Maine and in 2019 was awarded the Provost’s Award for Creative and Innovative Teaching. A passionate-advocate for trauma-informed practices in schools, her research centers on teacher and student resilience.
