Bio: Sharon LaBrie’s expertise and contribution to the College of Education and Human Development is primarily in program evaluation, project management, data management, survey administration, data analysis and reporting, database development, and website development. She assists principal investigators in all aspects of research, including: proposal design, institutional review board (IRB) submission, planning and coordination of research project milestones, management of project deadlines and deliverables, and post-award reporting.

With a strong background in SPSS, she has conducted evaluations of scientific courses for a nonprofit genomics/genetic laboratory as well as program evaluations for NSF-funded summer research programs for undergraduates. She also has designed and developed both large and small research datasets for federal and state grant-funded projects. Her most recent experience prior to coming to the College in 2014 was as a Research Project Manager/Data Analyst in the healthcare field where she managed several federally-funded projects. She is currently the project evaluation coordinator for the five-year Maine Department of Education Preschool Expansion Grant and a staff member for the Maine Education Policy Research Institute (MEPRI).
