Bio: Margo Brown is a lecturer in early childhood and coordinator of the Katherine Miles Durst Child Development Learning Center at the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development. Established in 1931, the Katherine Miles Durst center is a state-licensed and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited nursery school and pre-kindergarten, open to children throughout the community. It was one of the first university-affiliated centers in the United States. The center also serves as a lab school where early childhood and education students can observe and learn about the behaviors of young children. Margo’s expertise is in early childhood and early childhood special education. She is a member of the NAEYC.
