Bio: Kristina McBean has worked in education since 1974, mostly as a literacy specialist at schools in Bangor, Brewer and RSU 22, where she retired from public schools in 2008. In addition to the public schools, Kristina has worked with the Maine Department of Education as a Reading First instructor, literacy facilitator, webinar writer and webinar presenter. Since 2010, she has taught in-class and online for the University of Maine System. Since 2012, Kristina has been the conference coordinator for the University of Maine Writing Project. Her other interests include fitness, knitting, gardening and family sports.
