Jenica Hatch
Bio: Jenica Hatch is a lecturer in early childhood education and coordinator of the Katherine Miles Durst Child Development Learning Center at the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development. Established in 1931, the Katherine M. Durst Center is a state-licensed and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited nursery school and pre-kindergarten program, open to children throughout the community. It was one of the first university-affiliated childcare centers in the United States. The center also serves as a lab school where early childhood and education students can observe and learn about the behaviors of young children.
Jenica’s expertise is in child development and human relations. She is a member of the NAEYC. She brings teaching and directing experience from a wide variety of educational settings that allows her to foster children’s growth and provide a nurturing, safe, loving environment for children and adults to grow and learn in.
