Derrick Cox

Derrick started working at CompuMAINE in 2011 when he began programming algorithms necessary to manipulate and analyze mammogram images. He did his masters degree and wrote his thesis under Dr. Khalil’s supervision: Computational Analysis of Mammographic Breast Tissue Using the Metric Space Technique, finishing in 2014. Derrick worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics from 2015-2018 during which time he developed analytical software tools, and developed discrete event simulation of logistics to capture logistics needs and manpower of the F-35. Currently, he serves in the Texas Air National guard as a communications officer, and concurrently works for Raytheon. To this capacity, he helps build and establish Image and Geospatial Intelligence systems.
