Introduction to Blackboard

An Introduction to Kaltura and Using Video in Teaching

This training will offer an overview of the features of UMaine’s video storage and streaming platform: Kaltura. We will discuss creative ways to use video in your teaching and share ideas about using video to improve student learning, such as using video feedback for students, working with video content, making and using video quizzes and using the built-in desktop recorder: Kaltura Capture. Teaching in Active Learning Classrooms

Collaborative Learning in Blackboard

In this training session, we will take an in-depth look at Discussion Boards, Groups, Blogs, Journals and others means of collaborative learning in Blackboard. It is strongly recommended the participants have attended an Introduction to Blackboard training, or are current users of Blackboard. More advanced topics may be covered depending upon the skill level of the group.
