The Donald P. Corbett Business Building is home to the Maine Business School. Our central location on campus means students have easy access to what UMaine has to offer. Scroll down to learn more about the important parts of our building.

DPC Atrium

  • You’ll find students here studying and socializing at all times of the day.
  • We use the Atrium for special events and as a gathering spot for our end-of-semester award ceremonies and Friendsgiving event. This photo is from one of our annual career events.

Bloomberg LaB

  • This is the Gerard S. Cassidy Capital Markets Lab, or Bloomberg Lab for short. It’s named for the Bloomberg Terminal we have here. A Bloomberg Terminal allows real-time access to market data and investing analytics. It’s used globally by industry professionals, so MBS students can learn how to use it and receive their Bloomberg Market Concepts certification for free!
  • The lab is open to all MBS students but is primarily used by our finance majors.

Student Success Center

  • Our Student Success Center is a one-stop shop for all MBS students. This is where students will meet with their academic advisor and our internship coordinator.
  • Got a question? Need help finding a resource on campus? Pop into the SSC, and our student employees will help point you in the right direction.
  • There’s a small workroom located in the SSC that students can reserve for a study group, virtual interview, or other needs.

DPC 115

  • This is an example of one of our stadium classrooms on the first floor.
  • We have four classrooms with this layout.

DPC 205

  • We have two classrooms on the second floor, utilized solely by MBS. These rooms hold 60 students.
  • In these classrooms, the furniture is mobile, and speakers hang from the ceiling with screens on the walls. This allows students to join via Zoom from anywhere if the class offers that modality.

Computer Lab

  • This computer lab on the second floor is open to all MBS students. They can come here and use the computers and printers free of charge.
  • Students taking our Excel Certification Course may take their exam in this room. Other classes may use this class for real-world projects.
