The Maine Business School is taking Portland by storm as we combine two popular career events into one day!
Our Bear Treks trips take students to business headquarters to get an inside look at company culture. Students tour the building, meet with employees and recruiters, network with UMaine alumni, and learn about internship and early career opportunities. It’s a chance for students to see if they can picture themselves working for these companies.
Our Portland Bear Treks trip for 2024 will take students to Hannaford and Wex.
Doing Business at a Sporting Event helps teach students how to act professionally outside of a typical workplace setting. We’ll be taking students to the Maine Mariners hockey game where they will sit with business professionals and cheer on the home team. Our Doing Business at Series of events is possible with generous support from the Alton ’38 and Adelaide Hamm Campus Activity Fund.
This event is free for Maine Business School students and space is limited. Transportation will be provided, as will lunch at Hannaford. Students will have time after the visit to Wex to wander around the Old Port before meeting up a the Cross Insurance Arena for the game. Students are responsible for purchasing their own dinner.
