Faye W. Gilbert, Ph.D.

Faye W. Gilbert, Ph.D., served as Executive Dean of the Maine Business School from March 2019 to June 2022. Prior to UMaine, she served as Dean of Business at the University of Southern Mississippi, Radford University, and for Georgia College & State University.

She completed her doctorate in marketing at the University of North Texas and achieved the academic rank of professor of marketing with a joint appointment in pharmacy administration at the University of Mississippi. Her scholarship has been published in journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Retailing, and the Journal of Business Research, to name a few, with a focus on aspects of decision making and intercultural perceptions. She also co-authored a book on the intersection of customer relationship management and information technology.

Faye is currently serving as the Chair of the Continuous Improvement Review Committee for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). She has served as president of the Southern Business Administration Association, as President of the Society for Marketing Advances and of the Southwestern Marketing Association (now known as ACME). She was honored with the inaugural “Dean of the Year” award by Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for AACSB accredited programs.
