ArtWorks

The ArtWorks program is an integral component of the Art Education curriculum. Art Education majors learn pedagogical theory and curriculum design by applying them in this laboratory school for grades K-8. Majors gain practical teaching experience and area children and adolescents receive specialized instruction in a range of art concepts, techniques, and media.

ArtWorks Fall 2021

Because of safety concerns having to do with the COVID-19 pandemic, UMaine’s Art Education students created a virtual ArtWorks exhibition rather than inviting family and friends to campus for the traditional reception. Please see the virtual exhibition here.
