No-Cost Extensions
An extension request should be for a minimal time period (3-6 months) and must include a detailed justification for why it is was not possible to complete the project requirements within the timeline of the budget year. All requests will be reviewed by the Maine WRRI and the USGS Program Officer to ensure it is a valid request/need. Requests for no-cost extensions from UMaine PI’s should be submitted to ORA through the PARS system. Non-UMaine PIs should email their request to Ruth Hallsworth. Even if a no-cost extension is requested, a project progress report is still required for the initial year and a final report for the following year. Any questions should be directed to Ruth at 581-3196.
