Program Highlight: Challenge courses

How much do you know about Maine Bound’s challenge course opportunities? Did you know that you can come to us or we can come to you? Check out these different types of contracts we have to offer when incomes to our fun, team building courses!

Quarter-Day (2-Hour Program): This program is great as a team building introduction for groups that are just forming, or as a way to enhance dynamics in established groups. The program starts off with group games and then moves on to our low elements and some programs can finish with a high element. The emphasis is on building connections within a group and getting to know each other. This program is mobile; we can bring it to your site! Additional fees will be added for travel costs.

Half-Day (4-Hour Program): This program starts with warm-up activities designed to break down barriers and to get the group prepared for the day. From here, we customize programs which can include group initiatives and problem solving activities to provide a mental and physical challenge for the group to solve. We often incorporate high and low elements which will continue to stretch the group’s dynamic to enhance team building.

Full-Day (8-Hour Program): If your group wants an opportunity for self assessment, reflection, and an introduction to team-building, a full-day challenge course program goes deeper into group dynamics and can help break through roadblocks that often challenge a group’s success.

Other Custom Contracts: Maine Bound offers the option to choose specific activities and design custom programs. We have also partnered with other organizations to offer ecology and environmental science classes to combine outdoor experiences with environmental education. Some of our most popular trips are listed below. For details, please email um.mainebound@maine.edu. We are also happy to create custom programs that involve multiple sports.
