Parent Forms for Black Bear Tutoring

Due to the volume of requests which our program has received, we have closed the Tutor Request Form temporarily. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hopeful we will have the capacity to re-open requests in the future.

Black Bear Tutors is collaborating with local schools and aftercare programs to offer virtual tutors for K-12 students during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Submission of a tutor request does not guarantee your student will be matched with a tutor.

Tutors will meet with your student for at least one, hour-long session each week, via a virtual platform which works best for both the student and the tutor. Students will be matched with tutors from University of Maine based on a variety of criteria including tutor expertise, student needs, scheduling availability, and the preferred grade-level as specified by the tutor (Virtual Tutoring, 2020).
