Partners for World Health — UMaine Chapter

Partners for World Health – UMaine Chapter was created to get more students involved in an opportunistic program which benefits the local community, hospital and healthcare systems, as well as developing nations. With two major hospitals in the Bangor area, PWH – UMaine implements sustainable recycling systems and reorganizes and redistributes medical supplies to nations in need. At the end of the school year, the hard work of the students is celebrated with an opportunity to partake in international trips to deliver the medical supplies and implement them in a hospital overseas. PWH – UMaine is a great way to get volunteer hours, learn about non-profit organizations or the medical field, and make new friends.
