Orff Level 1 Music Teacher Training
August 5-16, 2024 • In Person at the University of Maine
Join the University of Maine this summer for a two-week, interactive course that provides an introductory but in-depth study of the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music and movement education. The American Orff Schulwerk Association has approved this course, which results in Level 1 certification by AOSA.
With specific applications for general music in grades K-8, topics include movement and musical skill development (singing, speaking, creative movement, and playing percussion instruments and recorder).
Participants can earn 60 contact hours through professional development or 3 graduate credits.

- Course Description: This two-week, interactive course provides an introductory but in-depth study of the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music and movement education. Intended for in-service music educators, it emphasizes the Orff process demonstrated and experienced through various creative activities and assignments during 60 contact hours.
