Housed within the Office of Student Financial Aid, the UMaine Financial Wellness Program is committed to increasing the financial wellness of the UMaine campus community.  

 

Financial Literacy Peer Educator Program

Supported by a joint effort between UMaine and the University of Maine System Office, the Peer Educator Program aims to provide student led informational programming regarding personal finance, budgeting, credit, student loan borrowing and repayment, default prevention, and banking basics. Additionally, peer educators will be able to refer students to resources that can enhance financial wellness.

Go to UMaine.iGRAD.com and create your free account to track your federal student loans, discover scholarship opportunities, investigate your financial wellness, understand your money personality, and more. iGrad's student portal allows students to track their federal student loans in one easy to use portal complete with the ability add your federal loan servicer contact information, billing due dates, and bill amounts. The easy to use tool allows students to understand financial wellness and create a budgeting plan with individualized goals in mind.

ECMC Debt Management ECMC is the University of Maine’s partner for debt management services. Go to ecmc.org/students to chat with representatives trained to review your student loans and plan for repayment as well as offer resources for loan forgiveness and making interest payments on your loans.
