Auditions for “Into the Woods”
The School of Performing Arts and the Theatre Division announce auditions for “Into the Woods,” with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lepine.
The Spring 2019 production of “Into the Woods” will be directed by Amiee Turner, with musical direction by Cindy Sambrano. The play will open on March 1, 2019.
Auditions
Date: November 29 & 30
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Where: Black Box Theatre
Callbacks: December 1, 1:00-6:00 pm

What to prepare for the audition:
- Be prepared to sing a 16-bar selection of music that is not from “Into the Woods,” that shows off your vocal range.
- During the audition you may be asked to sing a second selection — the second 16-bar selection should contrast the first.
- Accompaniment will be provided, so please bring sheet music. You may sing a cappella, but accompaniment is preferred.
- Also, please prepare a contemporary monologue that shows your strengths as an actor. The monologue should be in the same tone as the play — but not from the play.
- Please do your best to have everything memorized.
