Economics BS

Economics majors build strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Economics BS degree provides a broad coverage of economic concepts and methods, and it includes several quantitative and math courses. Students will learn skills that are highly valued in the labor force, and that help them succeed in graduate degree programs.

Tips to help you navigate the Economics BS program:

  • Take Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics, in your first year, as well as a Statistics course and Math course.
  • Take Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Principles of Economic Data Analysis in your second year.
  • Take Mathematical Economics and Econometrics in your third year.
  • Take Economics electives throughout the program.
