Sociology Graduate Brooke Buxton Publication
Prof. Karyn Sporer and Brooke Buxton (class of ’23) published a paper on family members of violent extremists in Aggression and Violent Behavior. This is Brooke’s first publication, which happened to be published just as they are starting a master’s program in criminology & criminal justice at the University of Nebraska Omaha (Prof. Sporer’s alma mater). Very exciting!
Maine Scholars Strategy Network: Undergraduate Social Media Internship
The Maine Chapter of the Scholars Strategy Network (SSN) is seeking an undergraduate social media intern for the 2024-2025 academic school year. The Scholars Strategy Network is a national organization that seeks to improve public policy and strengthen democracy by organizing scholars in America’s colleges and universities and connecting scholars and their research to policymakers, civic organizations, and the media. The Maine chapter is among the most active chapters in the country and includes highly respected scholars from throughout the state.
