Woodside SMART team recognized for leadership in sustainability

The Woodside High School (California) SMART team was recently recognized by the San Mateo County Office of Education for the action they are taking to integrate and apply sustainability principles in their community. Woodside SMART was one of 12 projects awarded through the One Planet School Challenge. They won recognition for a mid level entry in the  sustainable water category for their work to promote a “culture shift [that] is underway and gaining traction within the school community…” to “use water efficiently, protect local water sources and contribute to flood risk management to ensure a environmentally and socially just and healthy future.”
