Dr. Giudice Elected To Iris Network Board Of Directors
Congratulations to our own Dr. Nicholas Giudice, who was recently elected to the Board of Directors for The Iris Network. The Iris Network is a leading nonprofit organization that is advancing policy, research, and training to assist blind and visually impaired people in Maine and across the nation. They specialize in helping visually impaired people attain independence, employment, and community integration through various programs and services.
As an academic, Dr. Guidice has authored or co-authored over 130 scientific publications relating to the study and design of multimodal access technology for blind and visually impaired people. He has also collaborated on over $8 million in research grants in this field from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF,) and the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
