Matthew Hunter, ’06 is an associate at Goodwin Procter, LLP in Boston, MA, where he specializes in white collar criminal defense and securities litigation. During his time at UMaine, Matt was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Black Bear Men’s Chorus, and the Senior Skull Honor Society. He also interned for United States Senator Olympia Snowe through the Peter Madigan Congressional Internship Program, and later interned for Senator Susan Collins. After graduating from UMaine he received his Juris Doctorate from the Boston University School of Law in 2011. While at law school, Matt was an an article editor for the Boston University Law Review. During that time, he also had a judicial internship with the Maine Superior Court and an internship with O’Donnell Lee McCowan & Phillips, LLC. Following law school Matt worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable F. Dennis Saylor IV for United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
