Marie E. Hansen, ’97 serves as the Dean of the Business School at Husson University. After UMaine, Hansen attained a Juris Doctorate from University Maine School of Law. She later gained a graduate certificate in Leadership in Education from Harvard University, a Masters certificate in Portfolio Assessment from DePaul University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at the Chicago School for Professional Psychology. Hansen has worked as an Attorney at Willey Law Office in Bangor. In 2003, she began working at Husson University where she has served as Social Sciences Chair, Associate Dean/Director of the School of Legal Studies, and Interim Dean of the Business School. After serving as Interim Dean of the Business School at Husson University for a year, she was chosen to fulfill the role in a permanent capacity in 2013. Hansen serves on numerous boards including the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, the Board of Trustees for the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and the Board of Directors for the Penobscot County Bar Association.
