The Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce
The Alfond Center is hosting a series of workshops free to Maine residents as part of the “Remote Work for ME” program.  In-person courses begin May 20.

Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning
The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning offers free workshops on topics related to teaching and learning, including software applications. These are available for staff and faculty.

Fogler Library
Fogler Library provides free workshops and one-on-one meetings on a range of topics.

Office of Research Development
The Office of Research Development provides free workshops via Zoom on “specific funding opportunities, grant/project management strategies, research collaboration and system resources, mentoring, and much more.” Registration is required.

UMS Academy
UMS Academy lists a variety of free virtual training modules beyond the annual compliance training suite that may be completed on-demand.  Topics include common productivity software tutorials, accessibility strategies, and communication skills.

Network for Change and Continuous Innovation (NCCI)
As a University of Maine System (UMS) employee, you can activate your free membership to NCCI. This membership offers a wealth of benefits, including attending training sessions and accessing a library of past events. NCCI is an organization of higher education officials from all functional areas dedicated to change, continuous innovation, process improvement, and excellence.
