Co-Exist
Co-Exist is an app-based therapy program designed to help co-parents in high conflict relationships learn to communicate about their children. Using a scaffolding approach, both participants will learn to work together through simple collaborative games and tasks, thus building a team-mentality. This intervention is based on foundational family therapy models such as Bowen Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Constructivist Family Therapies. Through the use of machine learning, parents will learn to communicate through guidance and constructive criticism.
As a largely rural state with one of the highest divorce rates in the country, Maine is in need of an innovative and socially conscious solution. Co-Exist is an innovative approach to supporting Maine parents in need of therapeutic resources.
