Jumping Jacks

Recommended workout: 1 set, 30 reps

Step 1

  • Cue: Stance
    • Critical Features:
      • Anatomical Position: 

Feet together, hands supinated (15 degree valgus carrying angle), shoulders depressed, chest up, eyes parallel with floor.

Step 2

  • Cue: Star
    • Critical Features:
      • Jump: 

Small hop with plantar flexion (pointed toes).

  • Open Angle: 

Laterally abduct hips 45 degrees, internally rotate feet 45 degrees, laterally abduct shoulders 145 degrees.

  • Elbow:

Flex elbow joint 90 degrees.

Step 3

  • Cue: Reset/ Repeat
    • Critical features:
      •  Jump: 

Small hop with plantar flexion (pointed toes), use spring from previous jump.

  • Close angle:

Adduct arms and legs back to midline, extend elbow joint. 

  • Anatomical Position: 

Starting stance, ready for another rep.
