Recent News: NASA Updates Grant Policy with New Requirements
Date: October 1, 2024
NASA has released Grant Notice 24-01, announcing significant updates to its grant and cooperative agreement policies. These changes, which take effect on October 1, 2024, will impact both current and future grant applicants and recipients. The revised policies are aligned with updates to 2 CFR regulations and the National Security Presidential Memorandum-33 (NSPM-33).
Key updates include new disclosure requirements for biosketches and current and pending support (CPS) for proposals submitted on or after October 1, 2024. Proposals submitted before this date will follow the existing guidelines unless the award is made after October 1, in which case new requirements will apply. In these cases, NASA will request updated forms and certifications during the post-application, pre-award phase.
For more detailed information, NASA’s Grants Policy and Compliance office has provided the updated guidance in the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Manual. For any questions, please contact the Office of Research Administration at ora@maine.edu.
