Calling all nursing and health profession leaders: Join UMaine Nursing as a preceptor and shape the future of healthcare!

Join us as a nursing preceptor at UMaine Nursing and shape the future of healthcare. We seek experienced Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses for our BSN and MSN programs in various clinical settings.

As a preceptor, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Mentor and guide nursing students, sharing your expertise to shape their skills and competencies.
  • Foster professional growth, supporting students in developing and achieving program outcomes.
  • Enhance your professional development by staying updated with the latest nursing practice and education advancements.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Unencumbered Maine license
  • Opportunities available in all care settings, including patient and outpatient areas such as home health, hospice, school nursing, primary care, and more.
  • Unencumbered Maine licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician (MD, DO), or Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum one-year full-time equivalent of clinical experience as an advanced practice provider
  • Desire to support quality clinical learning experiences
