Dill tells BDN deer ticks are most active in fall

Griffin Dill, a University of Maine Cooperative Extension integrated pest management professional and manager of UMaine Extension’s tick lab, told the Bangor Daily News that deer ticks are most active in the fall and will remain active in great numbers, possibly into December when the temperature drops below freezing.
