Old Town Derailment Update

University of Maine police report progress in clearing up the train derailment in Old Town.  Front Street, which is normally a one-way street, is now open for two-way traffic allowing access to French Island.

Old Town Train Derailment Reported

University of Maine police report that a train derailment in Old Town may cause commuting issues for members of the UMaine community.  The accident currently blocks all entry to French Island.  Initial reports indicate no concerns about hazardous materials or other dangers.
