December sales and events at University Bookstore, Bear Necessities
The University Bookstore and Bear Necessities Fan Shop is offering a series of holiday promotions and events throughout December, including special savings, refreshments and opportunities to give back.
The bookstore is running its annual two day Holiday Sale from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. from Dec. 11-12 at its Memorial Union location. Shoppers can enjoy festive savings, light refreshments, special markdowns, new merchandise, made-in-Maine items and technology deals from the Tech Center. Customers who spend $70 will receive a complimentary ornament while supplies last, and M Club will provide free gift wrapping.
On Dec. 16, Bear Necessities Fan Shop at Harold Alfond Sports Arena will hold its annual Tinsel Tuesday sale from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event includes light refreshments, complimentary M Club gift wrapping and once-a-year markdowns on fan gear.
Both stores are also participating in a campus wide food drive benefiting the Black Bear Exchange from Dec. 1–12. Customers who donate three nonperishable food items will receive a coupon for 20% off one regular priced item.
Additionally, all online shoppers will receive free shipping on purchases at umaine.edu/bookstore and goblackbears.com/shop from Dec. 1–22.
