Discuss job prospects with veteran-friendly employers at Hire-a-Vet Fair

Job seekers can learn about career prospects with veteran-friendly employers during the Hire-a-Vet Fair from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 on the University of Maine Mall.
Representatives from 50 Maine employers across various industries will be available to discuss current job and internship opportunities and pathways to careers in their fields. Participants are encouraged to bring a resume and prepare their personal introduction.
Visitor parking passes are available for event participants, who will be able to park their vehicles in the black lots and designated visitor spaces throughout campus. A pass can be obtained by visiting Buchanan Alumni House or the Parking and Transportation Services Office, or by emailing um.parkingservices@maine.edu. Digital passes are available through the mobile pay parking website.
The Hire-a-Vet Fair is part of Job Jam: Career Exploration Week, a series of networking and informational events for students from Sept. 22-25. Job Jam is presented in partnership with the UMaine Career Center and University of Maine System’s UMS TRANSFORMS Pathways to Careers initiative, with generous support from the Alton ‘38 and Adelaide Hamm Campus Activity Fund, Enterprise Mobility and Tyler Technologies.
