Allan discusses school’s anti-hazing efforts with Press Herald
In a story about Mt. Ararat High School’s efforts to combat hazing following incidents involving its boy’s hockey team, the Portland Press Herald interviewed Elizabeth Allan, professor of higher education leadership at the University of Maine and co-founder of the group StopHazing. The district in which the school resides, School Administrative District (SAD) 75, plans to partner with StopHazing to study team cultures and develop a plan to prevent problematic behaviors. “I’m looking forward to working with Mt. Ararat to develop and implement recommendations based on the findings and their knowledge of school dynamics,” Allan said.
