Maine media interview Fairman on K-12 students’ NAEP testing results
Maine Public and WGME (CBS 13 in Portland) interviewed Janet Fairman, associate professor at the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development, on Maine’s K-12 student results from the National Assessment of Educational Progress, NAEP or The Nation’s Report Card, and her research on the state’s education policy. Fairman said Maine’s localized education policy means some school districts may not have the same access to resources as in other states. “It means that we’re going to have a high level of variation in educational quality and outcomes across school districts,” she said.
