News Center, CBS 5 report on ‘Shark Tank’ competition at MBS
WABI (CBS 5 in Bangor) and News Center Maine reported on the “Shark Tank” event at the University of Maine that took place on Friday, Dec. 13, at which six first-year Maine Business School students pitched side hustle projects. Students presented their ideas, ranging from blankets to international snacks, in front of an audience of university leaders and their peers to a panel of judges that selected three winners. The event was part of the fall 2024 Introduction to Business course; 300 students were placed into 17 groups, from which six were chosen to move forward to compete in the event for a $1,000 top prize, and second and third place prizes of $750 and $500.
