Media highlight life-size knight sculpture created by UMaine artists
Sun Journal, WFVX-TV (Fox 22/ABC 7 in Bangor), WABI-TV (Channel 5 in Bangor) and the Bangor Daily News highlighted University of Maine students’ work to create a life-size medieval knight sculpture that History Live! North East, a nonprofit organization, will use to teach K-12 students history lessons. Taking on the appearance of stone, the knight was made of wood with 3D scanning and layered Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining, coupled with traditional sculpture methods.
