‘Maine Policy Matters’ launches fifth season

The Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center at the University of Maine has launched season 5 of its podcast, “Maine Policy Matters.”

The podcast was created to make public policy information more accessible to policymakers; government, business and nonprofit leaders; and the general public. It features interviews with experts on timely topics relevant to Maine.

Season 5 episodes will include panel discussions on Maine’s waste management, Maine tourism and the importance of the humanities.

Episode 1 of the season is titled “From Moose to Mainers, the State of Ticks in Maine,” wherein moose biologist Lee Kantar and University of Maine Cooperative Extension Tick Lab Manager Griffin Dill are interviewed.

Each episode is available on all audio streaming platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud, on a bi-weekly basis. The podcast is also available on center’s YouTube Channel.

Season 5 is projected to have seven episodes, ending Tuesday, April 23. People also can find episodes and full transcripts at the center’s website.
