Student athletes break team GPA records in fall 2023
University of Maine student-athletes posted impressive marks in fall 2023 as 10 of the 17 varsity programs either broke or tied their records for highest cumulative team grade point averages (GPAs) in any fall semester.
The teams for women’s basketball, women’s cross country, women’s ice hockey, softball, women’s swimming & diving, women’s indoor track & field, women’s outdoor track & field and men’s ice hockey all established new records for team GPAs in their respective programs. The men’s indoor track & field team and men’s outdoor track & field team tied existing records in their programs.
