BDN features Black Bear Exchange support for UMaine community
In a story about a new food pantry opening in Orono, the Bangor Daily News highlighted the Black Bear Exchange, the University of Maine’s food pantry and clothing exchange, and its recent support for students and faculty in need. “Our numbers have increased 20-30 percent each year for the last three years, and so far this year, we are up another 15 percent,” said Lisa Morin, coordinator of the Bodwell Center for Service and Volunteerism, about the 2023-24 academic year.
