Media share UMaine Extension opioid overdose first responder training

The Daily Bulldog, Sun Journal, Penobscot Bay Pilot, CentralMaine.com, WFVX-TV (ABC 7/Fox 22 in Bangor) and WAGM-TV/WWPI-TV (Channels 8 and 16 in Presque Isle) reported that University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering a new online training program to help combat the opioid overdose crisis in collaboration with the University of Rhode Island Cooperative Extension. The Community First Responder Program aims to provide education and resources to rural Mainers to help recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.
