Dill speaks to BDN about stable flies

Jim Dill, pest management specialist at University of Maine Cooperative Extension, spoke to the Bangor Daily News about stable flies. “If you have stable flies, they bite and that will bother the animals and will draw blood. If it gets bad enough, it can impact milk production in dairy animals,” Dill said. Dill added that parasitic wasps can be used to control both stable and house fly populations.
