BDN advances Mitchell Center talk by Penobscot Nation’s tribal historian
The Bangor Daily News advanced a talk by James Eric Francis Sr., Penobscot Nation’s director of cultural and historic preservation, tribal historian and chair of the Penobscot Tribal Rights and Resource Protection Board, titled “Penobscot Sense of Place: An exploration of Indigenous landscapes in the Dawnland.” The University of Maine Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions is hosting the talk at 3 p.m. Feb. 27 via Zoom and in person at 107 Norman Smith Hall. More information is available on the Mitchell Center website.
