The Portland Press Herald, Bangor Daily News, WABI-TV (Channel 5 in Bangor) and WQCB-FM (Brewer, Maine) reported that Betsy Webb, professor of educational leadership at the University of Maine, died Thanksgiving morning at the age of 61. Webb previously served as the Bangor School Department superintendent, and was named the 2013 Maine Superintendent of the Year and in 2012 was the Maine School Superintendents’ Association Outstanding Leadership Award Winner.
