UMaine Climate Reanalyzer featured in Washington Post article warm weather in the Arctic

Data from the Univeristy of Maine Climate Reanalyzer showing temperature differences from normal predicted over the Arctic this week was used in a Washington Post article a “bomb cyclone” — a storm or zone of low pressure that intensifies at breakneck speed, bringing unseasonably warm weather to the region. The data showed that the temperature difference is around 50 degrees (28 Celsius) above normal at the North Pole.
