Brewer discusses CMP Corridor referendum results with Globe and Mail

The Globe and Mail interviewed Mark Brewer, professor and acting chair of the University of Maine Department of Political Science, about the results for Question 1 on the Nov. 2 election referendum ballot involving the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC), also known as the Central Maine Power (CMP) Corridor. “It’s almost guaranteed that the Maine Supreme (Judicial) Court is going to have to weigh in on that challenge,” Brewer said, referring to a legal challenge to the citizen’s initiative from CMP’s parent company, Avangrid.
