Media promote Ranco’s decolonizing higher education talk
Centralmaine.com, The Daily Bulldog and the Sun Journal advanced a discussion facilitated by Darren Ranco, an associate professor of anthropology and chair of Native American Studies at the University of Maine, at 11:45 a.m. on Oct. 15 at the University of Maine at Farmington. “Decolonizing the University Through Placed-Based Agreements with Tribal Nations,” is intended to support development of action steps for the campus, and is one of the events recognizing Indigenous People’s Week on the Farmington campus.
