Birkel discusses impact of solar irradiance with BDN
Sean Birkel, a research assistant professor with the Climate Change Institute at the University of Maine, spoke with the Bangor Daily News about the impact of fluctuations in solar activity on climate change. According to Birkel, who is Maine’s state climatologist, solar irradiance has a very small impact on global temperatures particularly in comparison to the effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
