Media talk with UMaine faculty, students at bridge dedication

News Center Maine spoke with Habib Dagher, director of the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the University of Maine, and former engineering students Cody Sheltra and Anthony Diba about the patented technology developed at UMaine and used in refurbishing the Grist Mill Bridge in Hampden. Diba is a design engineer at AIT Bridges in Brewer, where the composite bridge girders were constructed; Sheltra referred to the bridge as his “class project.” WVII (Channel 7) spoke with Sheltra and Bill Davids, a UMaine professor of civil engineering at the dedication.
