Media promote April 9 nursing conference
The Bangor Daily News, Centralmaine.com and the Sun Journal advanced the University of Maine School of Nursing’s annual evidence-based practice conference, “Our Environment: Nurses Taking Action on Sustainable Health Solutions,” from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. April 9. The event features keynote presentations by Paul Mayewski, director of UMaine’s Climate Change Institute, and Katie Huffling, the executive director of Alliance of Nurses for Health Environments, as well as a discussion of how environment and social determinants have contributed to the pandemic with Nirav Shah, director of Maine’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
